What is your fuel pressure? If the fuel pressure regulator is bad it could cause higher fuel pressure. It'll be ok at 1000rpms while the engine is cold but once it goes into closed loop mode and tries to idle at 600rpm the added fuel pressure could be flooding the engine.

1994 Camaro - 6 weeks ago I had fuel pump replaced. Engine was knocking and then stalled out. It just started up again. Could it be something else? Thanks, Barbara
