W/T was a trim level on the pickups that meant Work Truck. It had roll up windows, no options, even a v6, 5 speed. I could imagine it's the suburban's equivlent.

I had a 1993 chevrolet WT for 19 years. The frist few years my wife said WT meant wife's truck said .After the new wore off and she turned it over to me "only " I realized that it meant won't tow.
