Idle speed too high

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I installed a throttle body spacer and now my idle speed stays at about 2,000 rpm.  How do I adjust the idle speed down?  I don't see any adjustments on the throttle body.

You may not be able to. The idle on this vehicle is computer controlled and without reprogramming the ECM to accept the spaced throttle body as the "new normal," it may stay at that heightened idle. You may want to try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it to reset the ECM and cause it to go back to normal and see if it will accept the spaced throttle body when it resets itself.
