I am trying to pull my engine on a 2001 saturn sc1 but not sure how to separate the motor from transmission. I removed the bolts on the bell housing and bottom flywheel cover plate .

The only things bolting the trans together are the 4 studs around the bell housing, the 3 flywheel cover bolts, as well as the 2 bolts from the lower brace underneath both the oil pan and trans. Sometimes the dowel pins will get corroded and seize the motor and trans together. Just work around the mating surfaces with a screwdriver and hammer to get things loose.
