Will a 2000 1.9l dohc fit in 97 Saturn sl2?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 97 Saturn I blew up and I found a
motor out of a 2000 Saturn.  The only thing I
seen different was the intake manifold and
fuel rail.  Im not sure if it would be okay to
switch the intake manifold and fuel rail?
Does anyone know if that would work or
not?  Please and thank you

The 97 SL2 has a wider head and valve cover. The 2000 the head and valve cover is more narrow with a difference in the fuel rail ( pressure reg on 97) and the exhaust manifold. The intake I believe can be swapped but not the exhaust manifold. The exhaust manifold deflects the pipe at a different angle and has different amount of mounting bolts,so you have to modify the connection to the exhaust.
