I've got a 98 4 door 4wd... doesn't seem like it's had much action lately... but all that takes is people paying attention :-)

thanks, I've only had it 3 years, I've replaced the water pump and fuel pump... not bad for a 12 year old truck (10/97 build date) still runs great, interior is good, except the headliner has recently started drooping... I'm thinking of pulling it out and scraping the padding off and spraying it with a tan granite texture spray paint.

i did!

I parked mine that other day on an incline facing down and parked it for like 4 hours. I went to turn it on and it wouldnt start....

Tha gas gage was on "E" when it had one quarter tank.... that means i must have a 30+ gallon tank    dam!!! $89 to fill with the cheap stuff

I had to walk not onve but twice with a 2 gallon gas tank to get it going again.

todays lesson:
dont park at an incline with little gas in a tahoe.

I think the 30 gal tank is standard... got it on my '98 also... but I know what ya'll mean... I try to keep mine above half tank unless I'm on a road trip... that way it doesn't hurt as bad all at once.

Understand about the incline too... I've noticed that when I let it get down below half tank, it depends on what kind of incline or decline I'm parked on as to how much gas it says is in the thank... luckily when I park in front of my house... it's level. LOL

yeah, I love my Tahoe... it's the first V8 I've owned, so it took a bit to get used to the power and fuel mileage, but I'm gonna drive it until it dies... then I might revive it and drive it more!

I found out that if I use it allot of the freeway its not that bad on gas- I drive it to work and back mon thru fri and it takes about $60 in gas for two weeks. NOT BAD! But if i use it o the street i think i can spend $60 in a few hours...

Now i know its faster than any stock honda and that makes me feel good.
