I have a Buick Riviera supercharged where is the balance shaft located at

my car is making a knocking noise

Knocking???? First the balance shaft is http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/catalog/frameset.cfm. Are you sure its this part? Bad Balance Shafts usually cause vibrations.

If you are unable to use the search engine I provided.. that shaft is located in a tube atop of the cam shaft. To remove its necessary to remove the engine's front plate (left side). GOOD LUCK SEMPER FI
