what does it mean when my 1990 buick regal keeps turning off on me?

my regal turns off on me and to start it again i have to push on the gas pedal. it wont start right away like it use too. also it sounds like im pressing on the gas when it is drive and im not. need help.

Sounds like you may have a vac leak. Or the TPS (throttle posion senser)my be bad
