fuel economy

My son just got athis car with a 3.8L and he doesn't get any better than 22-23 miles per Imperial gallon what can he do. He already changed the oxygen sensor and the tire pressure is good. thanks

That's roughly right for the 3.8L engine.

find someone who sells stuff called EnviroMax...

u will get an extera 4mpg the 1st time and the mpg just keeps getting better...

i have a 94 4dr gran sport with the same engine(3800) and i romp the accelerator all the time and i still get 21-22 mpg...which means i take off of the lights and stop signs like a mad man

there are some quick ways to increase the mileage, but there not free, a cold air intake is a good way, there are also things like E3 sparkplugs that will increase the mileage and fitch makes a product called a fuel catalyst which will increase ur mileage by around 2 mpg and they last for 250,000 miles with a full waranty

a simple cheap way to increase fuel efficiency is changing the thermostat.  heat soak causes a loss in power and fuel efficiency.  its a simple cheap part to install and should get you and extra 1-2 mpg easy.
