How reliable is a 1987-1991 Ford e150 van I am looking to buy one and want to know if its worth it

There are two different ones I am looking at the first is

1990
-120k miles
-but as a problem with burning gas
-$300

second on is

1987
-54k miles
-oil leak
-$350

I would just like to know if either of these are worth buying considering I will have to put some work into either
