Warranty replacement of 2007 factory Infinity 6-Disc CD/XM Radio w/Logic 7
Factory Warranty has expired, aftermarket warranty (CNA) says they will "replace" defective head unit (disc player not functioning properly)... but NOBODY @ dealership seems to be able to find a replacement radio head unit for this defective part - says they don't make it anymore! Does anyone know where to find a replacement head unit for this year's model???
---All after-market head units are "satellite radio READY", meaning the purchase & installation of an "additional" exterior roof mounted antennae for the "additional" XM/Sirius tuner (and another hole in the roof). Also, after-market head units require additional wiring harnesses to connect to steering wheel controls, Logic 7 amp & speakers, and rear factory DVD player and controls. (*Harnesses, seperate XM tuner/antennae kit, and installation of all - not including price of new head unit - is $530.00+ at local Best Buy!)
Is there a "newer year's version" of this double din Hyundai stereo (which shares the same factory wiring harnesses & present XM antennae connection) that can be installed to replace the 2007 model that my dealership says "there's no replacement for"? *If so, the only issue would be IF the dash mounting brackets have to be changed... I don't care if the head unit bezel "looks different".
BTW, dealership says THEY WON'T INSTALL the aftermarket unit... and CNA says they will only pay for what the dealership says it would cost to install... the difference is MY out-of-pocket expense!
