2006 jeep commander with a 3.7L and full time 4wd. Has an nv140 transfer case. My right front axle broke and now I'm getting no power to the rear axle. Is my transfer case shot or is this normal?

Full time 4WD means you have some sort of center differential meaning that the tire with the least traction gets the power. The broken axle is getting the power, not the other wheels. If you have a center differential lock then you will be able to move the car but I would not drive it until the axle is fixed.

I don't plan on driving it. Just trying to determine if something in the transfer case is broken also since there's absolutely no power even trying to go to the rear wheels.

Once you install the new axle you will know for sure.
