New owner of Cavalier, what's next for me?

I just purchased from grandma a 1997 2 door standard Chevy Cavalier. She barely drove it,
hence the minimal 28,000 miles on it. I am excited to start to do stuff with this car as I know it will
be running well for a long time..
Any suggestions as to what to do next / first.. Like body kits? exhaust? how to improve HP???
Help me please...

change all rubber hoses.. they are aging. if an automatic.. change the transmission fluid. change the fuel filter to ensure the fuel pump will run strong. basically, start with the maintenance plan then go with the additions. i'd usually go with performance / suspension upgrades before bodykits. good luck.
