Agreed! I had a '06 Volvo S40 and that dang key fob would do the same thing as yours is doing right now. New cell battery fixed the problem. Just be careful unscrewing the fob and take care not to damage the spring catch at the top (that allows you to remove the key blade). I did this once...Volvo Dealer only charged me $15 for a replacement key fob plastic shell though :)
