90 rx7 tach stops working engine light comes on at times it dies everything goes back to normal on restart WTF!!!!!

really strange car works perfectly but tach quits and a/c has no power car sometimes dies but will restart then tach and everything is normal for a while then off again this has me totally confused help please

Check the ground connections and the connectors in your electrics, this is normally the culprit in older automotive electrical systems, either thar or chafing (but then you'd have blown fuses to go with it). Seeing as the tach signal is taken off the trailing coil, that might be the best place to start your investigations. As for your A/C it might be the acceleration controlled A/C cut-out system acting up. Get a copy of the FSM and preferably the wiring diagram before you start though.
