Automatic transmission, when changing from 1st to 2nd gear i get a hit

Automatic transmission, when changing from 1st to 2nd gear i get a hit that is coming from either the rear axle area. And its only when going into 2nd gear all other gears are fine (P,R,N,D) is there anything i could change, adjust, or maintainance to fix the problem?

Clean and tighten the battery connections. Check your voltage with the engine running. It should around 14 when fully charged. The older GM trannys don't like low voltage conditions and do strange things. Mine said bye-bye... If your volts are good, get the fluid and filter changed at a transmission shop and have them check it out.
