Smell raw gas coming to the engine but will not crank over ??

all fluids are fine first time this has

My 1996 Olds Aurora had the same thing with CEL on. I pulled the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum line off and saw gas coming out which caused a severe Rich Mix in the Intake plennum. Replaced it and I fixed 5 problems I had for several years. It MUST be vacuum operated for this to happen.
