what is the value of a 1989 honda accord lx 4 cyl 4 door sedan with 189000 miles?
I know Hondas are dead reliable, but paying more than a grand for even a pristine 89 Accord is asking for much. 500 dollars max.
NADA states that the highest retail is around 5k,the lowest is around 2k,this only applies though if the car has a clean title and is in good condition.If you buy from a reputable dealer it's usually higher with fiance charges if you finance it,and usually a safer bet with a older car,but it's usually cheaper to go with a individual.Just make sure you have the car checked out thoroughly before you purchase it.
If you paid more than $1,000 you probably over paid. A Honda dealer would get $500 bucks for it when they send it to the auction - you'd be surprised. Pay $20 and have it inspected before you buy it so you know how much extra it will cost to be on the road legitimately.
