My car can't go into 3rd gear

I have a 1999 mercedes ml 320. The drive  shaft  
bearing  was broken,  and i took it the  mechanics,  
they  changed the  drive shaft  bearing  and the tire
rod and also aliment.  Now the car  can't  go into  
3rd gear  and also there is a light that  comes  on it
says,  close range

Try this the transfer case motor has lost synchronization engage and disengage low range about 10-15 times. regards
