Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a clicking noise coming from the dash, by were the radio is located. Sounds like a turn signal. Any idea what it might be?

I have the same issue. How long has it been going on? Mine has been clicking very loudly for 4 or 5 years now. There is also no air conditioning. It only blows hot air. I think the lack of air conditioning is related to the loud clicking noise. I can get it to stop by turning the air conditioning temperature knob all the way to heat or vertically. Basically, wiggle it and enjoy the heat my friend. Thanks to my sister for figuring this trick out. Anyway, hope this helps. It's annoying as shit. Good luck!

I have heat and air conditioning my mechanic stated that he thinks it's the control sensor. But I think that will be the last thing to replace. So far have rebuilt or replaced just about everything else.

Its a broken stepper motor which has been an issue in a lot of Mercedes models. Its an inexpensive part but since it requires removing the dash, there are a few hours of labor involved.
