Ok so I have a 1996 Mercedes C220 and when I go to start it the key will not turn and the steering wheel is locked what is the problem how do I fix it?

try to move the steering wheel right or left while turning key,if this dont work,the switch tumblers are worn out,replace switch.

Yeah tried turning the wheel when it happened but it didn't work, thank you though!

Just try to turn the key togather with u turn the steering ..usually it's works with me...

Try the spare key, most of the time the key is worn.

how do i know if my Mercedes c class(c180 2009) is stollen or not? I have a 2005 Mercedes C230K 4 matic . I had the transmission oil and filter changed and now it will not shift out of first gear.
