Black smoke for a few minutes until its warm

I have a 97 2500 with a 5.9 360 when I start it up there is black smoke until its warmed up then its gone also the mileage is way down any ideas.  Thanks in advance

try a tune up black smoke means its running rich, do some new plugs wires air filter etc etc... also try some carb choke and throttle body cleaner
