how would you get out a broken spark plug that left only the screw part in the engine block

unscrew it. If that doesn't work, cut a raw potato in half and use it to try to unscrew the broken plug.

The only way would be to use plenty of wd40 and a broken screw extractor. You'll need to drill into the remaining bits of the plug and using the extractor should be able to unscrew it.
