vehicle no start, gauges do not work?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the check gaugelight turn on check voltage meter read 18 volts, now replace alternator,
now vehicle turn over and gauges do not read anything, vehicle will not start?

If truck was running before the alternator change,check all wires to the alternator,and make sure it is grounded.

So I checked ground wiring even put new battery terminal ends on pos /neg and had alternator all good, gauges still do not work and no bus on odameter...

Also checked all fuses , the lumination fuse is good but has no power to it, when i put the obd reader i get nothing...

Did you ever figure it out? Having same issues, truck will shut off while driving, gauges dont work but I have power, turns over but wont start. Randomly after awhile I try agian, gauges work, truck starts. Please help
