Brake issue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have been driving my car for years...suddenly the brakes got
loose...almost to the floor, I have ABS, they went back to normal
immediately. I noticed they continued, not as far down, but the pedal does
go down a couple of times when driving, and had three different mechanics
look at it. Had new calipers and rotors resurfaced, bled the brake system
and new oils, etc. Master cylinder ok....after all that, they still act
strangely...after driving it for half an hour, the
brakes go softer and further down once or twice  and then ok again. I don't
feel safe.
