2.4L has to crank for 5 seconds before starting
in am mostly... when attempting to start there is a 5-10 crank time before firing. Changed fuel filter. New plugs. Air Filter clean.
I have experienced in the past, when there is long crank time it has been due to low fuel pressure. Possible fuel pump issue or kinked lines?
Also could be fuel pressure regulator failing or stuck open fuel injector when engine is off causing the fuel pressure to bleed off. Check oil. Does is smell like gas after sitting over night? If so I would inspect fuel injectors for one stuck open.
