drivers side climate control only blows cold air when heater is on with control to hottest seetting

my 08 Trailblazer started this problem. ice cold air on drivers, nice and warm on passenger and rear. I was told to get a Temp valve actuator (controls the temperature settings of the dual air). ITs GM part # 89018677
