what caused it to change did you change the spark plug or did you do an engine rebuild

Partner I guess that that was the problem. Now distributor cap is loose and has a slight misfire. Got it to start but doesn't sound normal and power isn't the same. Before that bad ecu which is newly installed

so you put the bad ECU in it? the plugs and the wires and the distributor cap probably need replaced

Get number one cylinder up,and check timing marks,and see if distributor,is on number one.

My interpretation of the question was set time, like when you take a timing light, put leads on battery and sensor on #1 wire, then turn the distributor (with the tight cap on) to achieve what the book timing is
