will a 1982 ford f 250 manual transmission fit in a 1990 ford f-250 ? both have the same size motor

i have a 1982 ford with a good manual trans and transfer case.. i was wondering if anyone could tell me if
that trans n transfer case would fit in a 1990 ford with the same size motor but it has a bad trans n transfer
case ?...both having manual transmissions
