Truck bogs real bad almost goes dead when under even a little load

Asked by dandyoun Jul 20, 2012 at 11:19 AM about the 1994 Ford F-150 2 Dr XL 4WD Extended Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck runs great when not under a load but if you hold the brake and give it the gas it instantly bogs down.  Acts the
same way if trying to pull out of sand in four wheel drive or have a trailer hooked to it.  All new plugs, dis, pcv, rotor
button and wires.  Cleaned gas tanks and checking fuel pressure today.  This has me stumped because if it's not
under a load and you get on the gas the truck runs perfect .   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fuel filter is new.

Turned out to be a timing issue. Adjusted timing and now it runs as new.
