Stem on the end of ignition switch broke off and is stuck.

Started not wanting to turn. Before i could change it broke off. Old switch came right out.

Replace ignition switch but now u'll have to take steering column apart to get to the pin that locks it in place

There's a plastic piece on top of the column above ignition switch opening. Slide it enough to unlock steering wheel. Put shifter into drive. Used needle nose pliers to turn toward crank position ;pulled broken end out. New ignition switch went right in. If you move the shifter back and to you'll see that plastic piece move.
