My 2003 Chev Cavalier needs a new Timing chain. Service has quoted me around $1500 to fix. If I got a tech to fix it privately how long would it take? Do you think it is worth it to fix?

Yes it would be worth it,but if chain come loose, and car is not running because of it,you may want to have a compression test done to rule out head damage before you do it,you may have damage to the head, and chain will not fix it,check before you spend your money on repair.
