How do i reset the anti-theft system?

I disconnected the battery and now all it does is turn over.... I've tried everything but taking it to a dealership
(apparently not needed) so if anyone has anything new that hasn't been posted yet would be much appreciated

Orange security light is on? Turn the key on attempt to start the car when it doesn't start leave the key in the on position for 10 mins light will go out turn key off and attempt to start it again. It will either start or u will have to do this 2 more times after the 3rd time the ecumenical will reprogram itself and u will start.on the 4th try

Ya dude tried that but it didn't work. I heard that process is for the chip-key! I ended up having to get it towed to a dealership and get them to reprogram it! Didn't cost as much as I expected but imma make sure of don't happen again! Thanks for taking the time to reply!
there gas been no lights to show problem but alarm goes iff at odd times during day and night its in repair shop now - 2002 cavalier z24

I had the same problem I clicked the alarm button on the key then turned it off then started up the car and it worked
I have 03 and my anti theft system kickback in in the middle of backing up out of parking spot. Pushed it back into another spot seen anti theft dummy light come on when trying to start dis connected battery for ten minutes still wont start but dummy light do come on any more help! Please
