how do i find out the size(in amps) my alternator is?

i need to replace my alternator and i need to know what size to tell the repair shop to order.. help?

I would first check your manual, if you have it. The 2004 Express G3500 came standard with a 105-amp alternator, but a 145-amp was also available.
