my alternator froze up and snapped my serpentine belt have everything disconnected on the alternator but the pulley for the power steering pump seems to be in the way

After looking at several 'how to' on the alternator articles, there is no mention of the power steering pump for the 3.4 or 4.7 either one But you are the guy doing it, you know if it's in the way or not. But if you must, it's easier to remove the entire pump, or loosen enough to move, than try to get the pulley off in place

thank you looking at it that way seems to be a lot better to take the pump off than trying to pull the pulley in its position.

On a 4.6 There is no way to remove the PS pump with out removing the pulley FIRST. The bolts go through the timing cover, then through the pump, and into the block.
