can you use the 1994 haynes manual for the 1996 tercel
can't seem to find a repair manual for a 1996 tercel can you use the one for a 1994. Mine is setting erg code po401.

does it say toyota on the manual???????are they not all the same...

You can, but it won't tell you what the code is, since pre-1996 cars did not use OBD-II diagnostic protocols, which is the code you are describing.
