Check the speedometer cable it sounds like it is broken or frozen.

speedometer and odometer are not working and check engine light gets on after driving for about 2 minutes..what could be the problem 1 answer

speedometer needdle is not moving and odometer has stopped reading.when you run the engine and press the accelerator pedal the check engine light gets and the 'OD' light starts to blink.
