I have a 05 Chevy Equinox AWD can you take the back drive shaft out and it still be drivable?

Dont do it. Most awd transfer cases work like a differential. If you take a driveshaft out it is like doing a one-wheel burnout the entire time u drive. It will eventually blow it up. Plus the front isnt intended to take all the torque. Usually the rear gets +60% of the power.
