lifespan for the 1991 awd?

Asked by tfc Apr 03, 2010 at 07:18 PM about the 1991 Toyota Previa 3 Dr LE All-Trac AWD Passenger Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What can I expect to get mileage wise out of the Previa awd (1991) I know it depends. But it has been
diagnosed with a accessory driveshaft issue. It has 270,000 on it. Whats next? Clutch? Transmission?

Thank you very much,

TC

one of the most expensive repair on the engine is the head gasket replacement.

Some other expensive repairs... Driveshaft, half shafts, front diff but at 230k miles we have a total of about 15k in the van, and it should go another 200k

After looking at this site: http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/78808-previa-heater-only-blowing-cold-air/..... I fill the coolant reservoir started the engine, and noticed it was a steam engine...meaning either the head is cracked or the head gasket is gone...hope it is the gasket.
