Dear cg,i'm having power take off problems and the car may need fuel injectors because gas treatment works for a while then it goes back to runing sluggish.When do you suppose to drain and clean out the gas tank?What is the purpose and whatkind of diference would it make if i cleaned mine?My car is a 1994 and has 154,000 miles all i really need to know is what would give that clean powerful ride and take off?What do you suggest?
Rarely does anyone clean their fuel tank. Instead they replace the fuel filter on a regular basis. You can further increase your chances of cleaning the fuel by adding a secondary fuel filter somewhere after the original filter and the fuel rail/injectors. If you have bad injectors or if they get dirty often cleaning the fuel tank is not the problem. You may want to change the place that you buy your fuel. The cheaper the fuel the dirtier it will be.
