car runs very rough when cold with no power and starts getting better after driving 15 miles or so then
it has pretty good power it smells gassy when cold

Is your check engine light on, if so check the codes. When was the last time the car had a tuneup? Replace the spark plugs and wires if you haven't replaced them yet. Replace your filters, check for vacuum leaks, and clean your throttle body.
