Last week I had to rebuild by rear end. So after $2,000.00 how do I prevent this?

120,000 on this 2 wheel posi GM unit. Over a million on GM corporate differentials and this is a first. No gears just bearings.

you could have bought one from a junk yard for around $250-$300.

Understand I am seeking to make sure it does not happen again. Actually a used part would have been more expensive as all the bearings and ring gear shimming would still need to be done. And I no longer have the patience to do it myself.
