How do I correct new weatherstrip problems.
I installed a 7 pc weatherstrip kit on my 96 Covette and I noticed the new weatherstrips are thicker and much nicer. After installing them now when I close both doors with the glass up the glass goes over top the T-top side weatherstrips. I have to lower the passenger door glass close the door then put it up. The driver door I cannot do this so I have to close the door slowly pushing in at the top of the glass so it goes under the weatherstrtip not over and then try and push the door closed, this takes several attempts. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to simply correct this problem.

What do you mean wrong year on the stripping ? Wrong weatherstripping for my 96 or 96 corvettes have a weatherstrip problem. The company I purchased it from and the packages were marked 1996 Corvette stripping.
It sounds like the weather stripping may have "settled", you may have to remove it and redo it. Denis may also be correct, there is always a possibility it got boxed incorrectly
nah i can vouch for the fact that weather stripping is terrible to replace......i had it professionally redone so i didnt have to deal with it and during a rainstorm i went out and i had a steady drip at the corner of the t-top
