No overdrive

I had my transmission rebuilt and now it does'nt have overdrive.  The shop rebuilt it 4 or 5 times to no avail, and they eventually put in an new after market factory rebuilt transmission. I drove it home and after about 10 miles or so the overdrive went out again.  What could cause this?

Sounds like a possible problem with the torque convertor or other issue. I would take it back and ask them to fix it, a factory-rebuilt trans. should have a warranty on it. Something else is causing a problem here.
