The trac off light came on and stays on. this happened a few days ago. now as i am driving and it shifts gears there is a clunking and it is running rough?

The light was on when I picked my car up from the shop where they put a new gas
tank, fuel pump and sending unit on my car.  They also cleaned the engine to try and
determine where my car was dripping a little oil.  This work was done 5 days ago and
even though the light was on when I picked the car up it ran OK.  It did clunk when I
put it in gear sometimes.  Now it clunks as I drive down the road the the transmission
shifts.  Coincidence or could something have become disconnected during my repairs?

Most likely did it on purpose to make you pay more for another repair. I would take it back and ask them.

You can start it and it dies right away like there is no fuel and it has a new pump n filter. also a few lights are on the service engine light,security light and now a TRAC OFF light!

I have a 99 pontiac grand am se 3.4L V6. The issue is that it starts and idles fine but as soon as I go to accelerate it just shuts off. It did have overheating issues but right after I fixed those it started doing this. I replaced the cam position sensor and also the engine coolant temp sensor and it didnt help. I was thinking of replacing the ignition coil packs and housi g but not sure if that would fix it. There are no check engine lights or stored codes . 4 Answers
