I have 1993 olds cutlass 2 door with a 3.1 car idles rough when started til engine gets revved up 2 or 3 times then runs fine but then tries to stall and idle rough then shudders under heavy acceleration then comes out of it.

Classic example of a plugged exhaust system, or dirty idle speed control. Also check small vacuum hose fitting on top of fuel pressure regulator, if raw gas smell, may have failed press regulator.I own a 94 Cut. Sup w/ 3.1L. Hope this helps.
