The turn signals in my Mercury stopped turning off automatically, what is wrong?

It's a small part in the steering column. Normally I'd say it was a DIY job but inexperienced people should not play with the air-bags. Get a quote. If you can live with the amount get it fixed.

Turn signal/multifunction switch. It can be changed without removing steering wheel. Take the covers off behind the steering wheel and it is held on by 2 torx bolts.
