01 santa fe wont start

when i turn the key the lights will come on but the car wont start makes aka-thunk
sound,, battery and starter good.. what else could be the problem

grounding to the chassis frame ground...the other end of the battery cable (non-clamping side of the 1/0 cable)...has a lug with a hole in it and bolt, should take a coarse wirebrush to renew this connection to chassis and the one going to the motor (attaches near the alternator) 1/0 fat cable, you can't miss it...these things have to make excellent 300 CCA (cold-cranking-amps) connections~

If you were to pull the starter out of there and have it tested, would be okay....so yes, there is insufficient amperage to make the starter happy...let's give it more amperage (a direct result of the area in contact...make it good)~
