How many 2001 Audi S8 4.2 quattros were built?

I do not know how many were built, but there were only 531 2001 Audi S8's imported into the USA. (I have number 268) The FEDS also told Audi they had to "govern" these engines as to not allow them to go over 150 MPH. (They are capable of 185-190 MPH) HEY it's not your wifes BMW! LOL!

I own a 2001 S8.  How do I find out what number in the production line I have?
