95 GMC Pick Up 2500 Sierra SLE Extended Cab

Asked by eisenpeter Jan 09, 2016 at 01:53 AM about the 1995 GMC Sierra 2500 2 Dr C2500 SLE Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving city streets my truck develops front end shaking or bouncing.
When I slow down it stops.
Feels like it is coming from drivers side wheel. Thought it might be tire balance problem. Rotated drivers side rear and front wheel, didn't solve the problem.
Recently replaced the steering box , balanced tires and had front end aligned.
Appreciate any insight you might have as to the problem.
Best Regards,
Peter

The only other thing is gonna be with the 4-wheel drive part of it. When you get a front end alignment, the shop will make sure that all the parts related to the searing, along with the wheel bearing, are good. So either the 4-wheel drive is on or there would be a bad CV-joint in the front drive axle.
